There are two versions of this player, the base model is the 381 and should you be so inclined there is the 381i. The latter includes digital inputs is several guises, a USB, Plastic Optical (Toslink), AES/EBU (XLR),SP/DIF (Coaxial) and a mirrored output with the Toslink replaced with Glass Fiber-Optic (ST) - The player has a digital volume control also allowing for 5 sources (including the internal drive) to be connected direct to a power amplifier should you wish, but can be used in the conventional mannor also. Coupled with the fact that it'll play Red Book CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3, FLAC and WMA discs, it's truly a worthy addition to any digital junkies' system! |  |
